Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Gyamfi insists he is not playing his final campaign in the Ghana Premier League, as Zdravko Lugarusic’s men aim to win the league title for the first time since 2014.

The Porcupines Warriors saw their unbeaten run this season come to an end last weekend after a 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash.

Despite the defeat, Gyamfi was once again exceptional on the day, leading to rumours that he could be preparing his exit from the Kumasi-based club.

However, the 23-year-old, who is capable of playing in defence and midfield, is adamant he still has more to offer even after the season.

“I am enjoying my time with Kotoko and I am not eager to move to Europe," Gyamfi told Kessben FM.

"I still have a contract with the club and would want to win the title so I have my concentration towards that only. If a good offer comes in the future and Kotoko agree to allow me to move then I can move. But personally, I want to be here for a long time,” he said.

Gyamfi has scored one goal and provided three assists, winning four Man of the Match awards.

He was in the books of Armenian side Shirak FC in 2014.
