KFC Moment of the Day 1
Jordan Pickford once again showed why he is England's No.1 as he produced a series of fine saves to keep his side in the game against Sweden on Saturday afternoon.
The Everton shot-stopper denied Marcus Berg with two brilliant saves, before thwarting Ola Toivonen to ensure England's progression to the semi-finals.
Pickford's first of the three saves came when he dived to his left to palm Berg's attempt around the post as The Three Lions appeared to have taken their foot off the gas.
He then finger-tipped Berg's fierce attempt over the bar in spectacular fashion to keep Sweden at bay, before his sprawling save in the latter stages of the game ensured a clean sheet for England.
This was a heroic performance from Pickford, who wasn't born the last time England reached the semi-finals of this biggest football competition in 1990.
For his efforts, the 24-year-old keeper walked away with the man of the match award, and he didn't 'make a meal of it' because England still have to face Croatia in the semi-finals.
KFC Moment of the Day 2
Russia may be out of this year's tournament, but they certainly gave a good accout of themselves, and Denis Cheryshev may have well engraved his name in the history books with that stunning strike against Croatia.
The former Real Madrid player was sensational for the hosts, leading from the front against a hard to crack Croatian side.
Cheryshev initiated a move from the midfield before firing past a helpless Danijel Subašić from outside the box to give the Russians the advantage.
His wonder strike is a strong contender for goal of the tournament, and while there have been so many beautifully taken goals thus far, this one is undoubtedly among the best.
The technique and precision were out of this world - and while the Russians would be licking their wounds in the remaining seven days of the tournament, some would be marveling at Cheryshev's strike after a gallant performance by the entire team.
