Kariobangi Sharks book Asante Kotoko date after seeing off Arta Solar in Caf Confed Cup

Kariobangi Sharks will face off with Asante Kotoko of Ghana in the next round of the Caf Confederation Cup.

The Kenya representatives, who were making their debut in the continental games, sailed to the next stage after seeing off Arta Solar on a 9-2 aggregate after a two-legged clash in the preliminary round.

Having started well at home with a 6-1 win at the Kasarani, Sharks completed the job with a 3-0 win away to book a date with the Ghanaian giants

Sydney Lokale teed up George Abege who opened the scoring for Sharks in the 27th minute before Vincent Wasambo and Duke Abuya added two more goals in the 85th and 88th minute respectively. Sharks will take on Asante Kotoko FC between December 14th and 15th.

Elsewhere Gor Mahia also stormed the next stage of the Caf Champions League after going past a gritty Nyasa Big Bullets.

K’Ogalo needed a penalty shootout to see off the Malawian giants in a game where Boniface Oluoch saved two penalties; one at the regulation time and another in the shootout to help Gor Mahia to 4-3 win.
