The tactician claims bringing back the club's tradition is the secret of the club's success, adding that continental ticket is their season's target

Kano Pillars coach, Ibrahim Musa has credited hard work for his side’s rebirth in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Sani Abacha Stadium outfit started their Nigerian topflight campaign on a poor note this season but seem to have found their form as they are unbeaten in their last four games – with a 3-1 victory over MFM FC in their last outing in Kano.

And the tactician claims he had to dump his successor’s tactics since it wasn’t earning them desired results in the first half of season.

"Hard work is the only reason for our resurgence in the Nigerian league in recent times," Agbo told Goal.

"I have worked with eleven coaches at Pillars, so, I’m well aware of the club’s tradition even before Ikhana was hired before the season started, and when he came, he changed the pattern of the game which made us to struggle in the first stanza.

"But when I got the chance to lead the team, the first thing I did was to go back to our old formation and pattern of play, and since we did, we have been working hard every day." He continued.

"And with my players’ mentality and hard work, we have moved out of relegation zone, but we won’t be stopping there as our aim is to represent Nigeria in the continent next year.

"Everybody in Kano is worried about the position of the team on the log and they are praying for us, even the woman at home because this position we are in the league is not really our own."
