Kano Pillars’ Junior Lokosa hits Norway for trial with Brann

NPFL hotshot, Junior Lokosa has left for Norway ahead of his trials with SK Brann Bergen.

Lokosa is the highest scorer in the Nigerian top flight with 18 goals and was in Bulgaria a few months ago for a test with Ludogorets Razgrad which fell through.

He left the shore of Nigeria again for Norway to try his luck with SK Brann which once paraded former Flying Eagles star, Chukwuma Akabueze and if successful, he will have a medical thereafter.

The Chairman of Kano Pillars, Tukur Babangida while confirming the development said that they have permitted Lokosa to honour the call from Brann who asked him to come for a week-long trial and medical and that he is expected back in Kano at the end of July.

“I am aware Lokosa is travelling and he is expected to travel on Sunday (yesterday) to Norway for a trial and medical with Brann Bergen,” Babangida told Goal.

“We approved that he leaves on July 22nd and he is expected to return by the end of the month. Brann Bergen wrote to us that his services his needed and that he will have a trial and medical with them.

“We are yet to have a discussion with them on the transfer fees and other issues relating to the deal. We will open negotiation with Brann as soon as he starts training with them. We do not want to stand in his way and his quest to move abroad. ”

Babangida confirmed that Kano Pillars had exempted him from the friendly matches they played on Wednesday and Saturday against Kada City Stars and Jigawa Golden Stars in anticipation of his trip.
