Kaizer Chiefs players report for pre-season, Cardoso declares himself ready

The players underwent their medicals on Thursday and they reported for pre-season training on Saturday morning

Kaizer Chiefs resumed pre-season training on Saturday morning, and Daniel Cardoso is already looking forward to the upcoming campaign. 

The 28-year-old stressed the importance of hard work during pre-season so that the team can do well in the new season. 

"I am looking forward to pre-season," Cardoso told the Amakhosi website. 

"What you put in at training during pre-season is what you get out for the rest of the season," Cardoso.

The Glamour Boys have gone two seasons without a major trophy, and next season will undoubtedly be a defining year for Steve Komphela whose just entered the final 12 months of his contract with Amakhosi. 

It will also be Cardoso third season at Chiefs, and he will definitely be looking for more game time under Komphela. 

Last season, the Johannesburg-born utility player featured 16 times for the Soweto giants in all competitions and found the back of the net once.
