Despite the setback, coach Muluya is still optimistic that the Sharks will pick something from the league champions

Kariobangi Sharks will miss the services of two key players in their Kenyan Premier League match against defending champions Gor Mahia on Wednesday.

Goalkeeper Jeff Oyemba and striker George Abege have been excluded from the traveling squad with Eric Juma needing a late fitness test.

Coach William Muluya says it is a massive blow for his side, but is still optimistic the Sharks have what it takes to get something from the reigning champions.

"Oyemba and Abege are out injured. Juma is doubtful but the chances of playing are minimal. It is a blow to the team.

“These are players who can make a change to any team and missing their services is the last thing any coach can wish for.

"I have faith in those that will take their positions, that they will do the job and help us get something from the match. It will not be easy for sure but with the way we have prepared, I believe we will get something."

Sharks are seventh places and 17 points behind Gor Mahia who are at the summit with 52 points.
