Kerala Blasters assistant coach Hermann Heidarsson stated that his side are desperate for a win against Bengaluru FC on Monday…

Both the contestants of Monday's Indian Super League (ISL) fixture between Kerala Blasters and Bengaluru FC are unbeaten this season. But, the Blasters haven't won a single game since their opener against ATK and that will be a cause for concern for the hosts.

However, assistant coach Hermann Heidarsson is happy that Kerala are maintaining possession, creating chances and look more dangerous than they did previously. Blasters came from behind against Pune and Jamshedpur to force a stalemate in both the games.

“We have played five games and we are unbeaten. In the last 135 minutes, we had a possession of 70 per cent. We created a lot of chances, half-chances and earned corner-kicks. You can’t always guarantee goals and I have been very happy with what I’ve seen from us in the tournament in the last game and a half," the Blasters assistant coach stated.

The Icelander believes that the fixture-congestion calls for some squad rotation but failed to provide clarity on whether local favourite Anas Edathodika will be starting against Bengaluru FC.

“I’m not going to tell you who if Anas will be starting tomorrow as I don’t know yet. We had two tough games in a short period of time. So there will be some changes. I’m not too sure about the changes that will be made. We have another training session in the evening and a decision will be made," he explained.

“There are no injuries currently.”

Hermann had a lot of respect for Bengaluru but wants his players to refrain from showing any during the game as they look to collect all three points while also breaking their Bengaluru-curse.

“Bengaluru is one of the best teams in the league. This will be a make or break game for us. We go into every game to try and get the three points and tomorrow is no different. We are desperate for a win tomorrow. We will be out there tomorrow, trying to achieve that," Heidarsson concluded.
