NorthEast United head coach Eelco Schattorie is unconcerned about his team's record in Pune ahead of their Indian Super League (ISL) clash on Tuesday.
The Highlanders have only won once in their four visits to Pune and last season, a Marcelinho hat-trick handed the visitors a 5-0 thrashing.Ahead of the match, Schattorie said, "We also had the best start ever for this club so what happened in the past is not relevant. What is important for me is that we prepare for this game tomorrow (Tuesday).
"There are still some questions marks. Pune are under more pressure than us. We need to maintain where we are and (meet) expectations and Pune need to climb up. It will be an interesting game.
"Pune have a squad with a lot of individual quality. They have some really good individual players that can make a difference. The weakness of Pune, for me, is very clear and hopefully, we can exploit them. We will try to continue what we have been doing. It is away game, we try to go for three points."
Schattorie revealed that preparations ahead of the match haven't been ideal. "The preparation is not ideal but I guess that is part of playing in India sometimes. We were on the road since morning. Part of the team will only arrive tonight. It is a big load on the players, it is physically tiring.
"I have to be careful what to say now. Since the beginning of the season, I faced a lot of issues and problems. I see this as another obstacle, I am almost getting used to it," he concluded.
