Iheanacho praises Leicester City after securing FA Cup quarter-final berth

Kelechi Iheanacho has heaped praises on Leicester City following their 1-0 win over Sheffield United on Friday night which secured their place in the quarter-final of the FA Cup for the first time since 2012.

Riyad Mahrez’ cross was headed home by Jamie Vardy in the 66th minute which made the difference in the encounter.

And the former Manchester City striker who featured from start to finish in the outing has taken to the social media to applaud the team’s performance while also eagerly awaiting the draw for the quarter-final stage on Saturday.

“Great team performance waiting for the quarterfinals Draws,” Iheanacho tweeted.

The Nigeria international played a crucial role to help the King Power Stadium outfit get to this stage of the competition, scoring four goals.

The 21-year-old who endured a difficult start to life at Leicester after his switch from City in the summer has now made 18 appearances in all competitions this season and will be expected to be on parade when the Foxes play host to Stoke City for their next league game on February 24.
