Nordin Amrabat delighted with La Liga return

Nordin Amrabat says he is very happy to be back playing in the best league in the world after his deadline day loan move to Leganes from Watford.

The Morocco international made 48 appearances and scored three goals for the Hornets two seasons ago.

And the midfielder who was unveiled at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque on Monday is very happy with his return to the 'great league'.

"I am very happy to be here, waiting to play, meet the fans and have a good season. I watched on television the first league game that won Leganés 1-0 to Alavés and I could see the fans, the great atmosphere that there was the good game and I decided at that moment that Leganés was very interesting for me,” Amrabat told media.

“It has only been two years since I played in Spain and I wanted to return to the best league in the world.

“Many players come back here and do very well, I'm looking forward to playing for this club and giving my all.

“Players are going to England and one, two or three years later they want to return - Diego Costa, Nolito.

“The Premier is a tough competition but the best football is played in Spain. It's a great league and I'm very happy to be back."

Amrabat is likely to make his debut when Leganes visit the Ipurua Municipal Stadium to take on Eibar on September 15.
