‘He’s one of Milan’s untouchables’ – Agent debunks Franck Kessie’s exit

George Atangana, the agent of Franck Kessie has debunked speculations that AC Milan are contemplating to sell his client.

The midfielder joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2017 from Atalanta after agreeing on a two-year loan deal with an option to buy.

However, the Cote d'Ivoire international is reported to be at a centre of a dispute between the club’s sporting director Leonardo Araujo and coach Gennaro Gattuso.

Reigning French champions Paris Saint-Germain have been linked to the 21-year-old but his representative affirmed that the youngster is not for sale as he continues negotiating for a renewal of his contract.

“We’re only on the ninth day of the league season and I don’t know why we’re talking about the transfer market already,” Atangana told Calciomercato as per Football Italia.

“Franck is in his second year at Milan, where he didn’t arrive by chance, and he’s gradually competing his maturation process at a high level.

“I have read about possible ruptures between Leonardo and Gattuso, with Kessié at the centre, I’m not aware of that dynamic.

“I have a good, established relationship with the club, and I’m sure if Milan wanted to sell Kessié I’d be the first to know.

“On the contrary, in recent conversations I’ve learned that Franck is one of Milan’s untouchables.

“Of course in modern football no player is unsellable - Cristiano Ronaldo went from Real Madrid to Juventus, after one year [Leonardo] Bonucci went back to Turin and [Gonzalo] Higuain went the other way.

“But I want to reiterate that Franck wants to continue his experience in a Milan shirt.

“A renewal? I'm talking to the management, everything in its own time.”
