Henry Onyekuru opened his goal account in Galatasaray’s 2-1 loss to Valencia in Saturday’s friendly encounter.

The Nigeria international joined the Yellow-Reds from English Premier League side Everton on loan and made his impact felt in his second game, scoring the consolation for Fatih Terim’s men.

After Ruben Vezo opened the scoring in the 36th minute, Toni Lato doubled the lead 16 minutes later before the former Eupen forward reduced the deficit nine minutes after the hour mark.

The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with Anderlecht and scored ten goals in 28 appearances across all competitions before injury abruptly ended his campaign.

Onyekuru will be eyeing another impressive outing when Galatasaray take on Sakaryaspor in their next warm-up game on July 25.
