Stanley Okumbi has vowed to use two friendly matches in Spain to mould team for upcoming Chan tournament

Stanley Okumbi will use the two friendly matches against Spanish opponents to prepare for 2018 Africa Nations Champions-CHAN.

The Harambee Stars head coach who is also in charge of the Kenyan select side, KPL AllStars that will play Cordoba Club de Fútbol and Sevilla Atletico, said that the friendly matches will present the young players with the needed exposure for future assignment.

“Winning would be nice, but the bigger objective is to help these players gain exposure and experience that will help them in future engagements. Most of them are below 23 years, which means they are the future of the national team,” Okumbi said.

“The goal is to bring these players together and equip them with the necessary experience that will help them in future engagements such as CHAN (African Nations Championships).

Kenya will host the next edition of CHAN in January 2018.
