Gombe United coach Manu Garba has admitted his side will miss the services of Austin Oladapo in their Nigerian topflight survival fight but confident they will cope without him.
The forward made the 30-man Super Eagles squad of coach Salisu Yusuf for the African Nations Championship qualifier against Togo or the Benin Republic next month.
In spite his possible absence, the former Golden Eagles coach is excited for Oladapo, stressing that his national team's call was more important than the club's ambition.
"I'm really happy for him [Austin Oladapo]. Of course, it's Nigeria first before Gombe United," Garba told Goal.
"We will miss his ever present though we can always get his release for our league matches if the national team has no match close by.
"He had one of his best games against El Kanemi Warriors in a new role he played and is the team's leading scorer.
"Therefore we are going to miss him but it's also a plus for the team to get its player in the national team and an opportunity for another player to step into his position."
Oladapo, who has scored seven goals this season for the Scorpions is expected to resume camp alongside the rest 29 invited players on July 16 in Kaduna.
