NorthEast United FC climbed to the top of the Indian Super League (ISL) table after a thrilling 4-3 win over Chennaiyin FC on Thursday at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Chennai.
The star of the show was NorthEast's star striker Bartholomew Ogbeche who scored a stunning 10-minute hat-trick to hand his side all three points.
ISL/SportzpicsAfter the Highlanders went 2-0 down, he capitalised on parried shot to pull a goal back in the 29th minute. Then he would latch on to cross before steering an expert finish home. He would go on to make it 3-3 after rounding the keeper after getting on the end of a throughball by Federico Gallego.
NorthEast would then go on to net the winner in the second-half but credit must go to Ogbeche for having pulled the team through.
Ultimately, his stellar show gave NorthEast United a great result and he is rightly named as Goal's Asian Player of the Week!
Congrats!
