Giovanni Solinas: Kaizer Chiefs play with 10 players plus Khama Billiat

Kaizer Chiefs coach Giovanni Solinas feels Khama Billiat's contribution to his team is similar to that of Lionel Messi at Barcelona.

The Zimbabwean attacker has been a marvel to watch for Amakhosi this season, and Solinas believes the 27-year-old is the currently the best player in the Premier Soccer League.  

"Barcelona play with 10 players plus Messi. Kaizer Chiefs play with 10 players plus Billiat," Solinas told the media.

"Billiat is the best player in the PSL. He's a top class player in my opinion. Maybe someone may disagree, but in my personal opinion, he's an unbelievable player. A fantastic player,' he said. 

According to Solinas, Billiat is just too good to be playing in the PSL. He feels the former Mamelodi Sundowns man should be playing in Europe. 

Billiat has directly been involved in nine of Amakhosi's 18 goals scored in all official competitions. He has scored five and assisted in the other four goals. 

"He's a player that makes the difference. He's a player that's not for the PSL, sorry guys. This player is for Europe," explained Solinas. 

Chiefs will only return to action next month, and Solinas has welcomed the break as he wants to work on improving his team. 

"I am happy about the break, because that means that we can work hard to become even better. I am happy defensively, we defend as a team...The players show commitment in training and are eager to learn and improve," he added.  

"We just have to continue doing this. I am an optimist, our spectators haven't seen the best of Kaizer Chiefs as yet," concluded Solinas.
