The Wonder Club's official vows that the topflight won't commence until they are through with all legal proceedings against Ghana FA

Great Olympics communication director Saint Osei has reiterated that the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League is not starting anytime soon following their decision to continue with the legal tussle against Ghana FA.

The Wonder Club were relegated last season but want their protest of player eligibility against Elmina Sharks and Bechem United to be heard, which could qualify them back to the topflight.

Olympics’ proposal for an 18-club league which must include them was thrown out by Ghana FA on Monday.

"This season's Ghana Premier League won't start as planned by Ghana Football Association. It will take the intervention of God for the league to start this month or next," Osei told Happy FM.

"We are not ready to compromise since there is a possibility that they won't even call us again to be heard when the league starts. It is stated categorically in the regulations that all cases must be heard and resolved before the new season starts so we were surprised that we were taken out of all the plans and date hurriedly fixed," he added.

Goal understands that Olympics and Ghana FA will meet in court on March 15 for a hearing on the injunction.
