Gabeya training with Highlands Park after unsuccessful Kaizer Chiefs trial stint

Kaizer Chiefs have released Miracle Gabeya, who is now reportedly training with another Premier Soccer League (PSL) side, Highlands Park.

The Malawi international began training with Chiefs two weeks ago, while hoping to impress the technical team, and sign a deal with the club.

But Gabeya has since been released by the Soweto giants and he's now trying his luck at the Lions of the North, who are coached by Gordon Igesund.

Ivorian defender Ismael Olivier Toure was the first trialist to be released by the Soweto giants last week after failing to impress.

But he did not board the plane Chiefs had booked for him to return home and the club are currently searching for him.

Chiefs' media officer Vina Maphosa confirmed to The Citizen that trialists Gustavo Paez from Italy and Brazilian Henrique Dias DeAmorin are still part of their training camp in Potchefstroom.

“The other two (Gustavo Paez and Pedro Henrique Dias DeAmorin) are still in camp with the team,” Maphosa was quoted on the publication.

Amakhosi are scheduled to take on Free State Stars at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on February 7 as PSL action resumes
