Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Edmore Chirambadare close to a PSL move

Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Edmore Chirambadare could find a new football home in the next few days, according to his agent Mike Ngobeni.

Ngobeni was speaking to Goal on Sunday regarding the 26-year-old former Amakhosi winger, saying that there are two clubs interested in the Zimbabwean player.

Despite keeping the names of the clubs under wraps, the player’s representative said his client is not done in South Africa and there is interest in him from the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

The left-footed player was released by the Soweto giants along with the likes of Tsepo Masilela, William Twala, Keagan Buchanan and Sibusiso Khumalo as they were deemed surplus to requirements.

Although Amakhosi are yet to unveil a new coach, the players were released having enjoyed limited game time under ex-coach Steve Komphela.

Meanwhile, Chirambadare joined Chiefs in 2016 from Chickenn Inn and failed to make an impact under Komphela, but was voted as the Most Promising Player in the club’s 2016/17 end of the season awards.

“Yeah we are looking in South Africa not in Zimbabwe, there are offers in the PSL and you will remember this is the guy who won an award at Chiefs a year ago,” Ngobeni told Goal.

“He was seen as an improved player and we have to get him a club where he can showcase his talent, we believe he did not get enough game time at Chiefs,” said the agent.

“There are good looking prospects and by next week we will have something, there is no rush because we want to find a club where he can play and get exposure,” he continued.

“We are talking to two clubs, but we will know in the next week or so, there are possible offers on the table I can confirm that…” he added.

Coming to the another one of his clients, Khama Billiat, Ngobeni revealed that the star is yet to discover his next destination.

“Nothing new on Billiat he is resting in Zimbabwe and we will know when he comes back…he is the boss and we will wait for him to decide,” added the representative.

“There are offers in front of us and he is the one to decide because this is his future we are talking about,” he revealed.

”We are not getting offers all over the place and not all offers can be considered, we have to thread carefully because the guys are still young,” he asserted.

“We will show him the offers and he will decide then we will take it from there,” concluded the agent.
