Fit-again Festus raring to go against Club Africain

Rivers United skipper, Austin Festus expresses happiness at his return from injury in time for the Sunday's Caf Confederation Cup tie against Club Africain.

The defender sat out the Pride of Rivers' last matches against Ugandan outfit, KCCA and Shooting Stars after he suffered a muscle strain problem in a Nigerian topflight encounter aganst Lobi Stars, but has been passed fit for crucial match.

“I am fine now and I have even resumed training. I will be available for the Sunday tie by the grace of God. I want to thank the medical team for doing a very good job of working extra hours to ensure that I am fit for this game,” Festus told Goal

"We know we have to win to stand a chance of moving to the next round and we are assuring our fans and supporters to come and cheer us to victory.

“We know that Club Africain are very tactical side but we are also aware we have to win well and the amount of time we have spent preparing for this game showed we mean business. We want to qualify for the next round and we are doing everything possible to get the required points at the end of the next two matches.”

Rivers United are third on the log with six points from four matches and they have two games left against Club Africain and FUS Rabat in Morocco.
