Not long after soccer fans were shocked by footage of a fight in the tunnel between Maritzburg and CT City, another major incident has resurfaced

This time a controversial off-the-field incident comes from the ABC Motsepe League in KwaZulu Natal.

The fight occurred in a match between third tier clubs Summerfield Dynamos and XI Experience in Chatsworth, Durban this past weekend.

Shockingly, one can see on the video that referee Mongezi Mpungela is attacked after the game.

In the video, one can hear fans at the stadium upset with the refereeing after controversial yellow and red card decisions.

Mpungela was attacked by supporters after the home team Dynamos lost 2-1.

You can watch two angles of the videos, thanks to Robert Marawa on Twitter, and Mabaleng Sports Center on Facebook.

According to one of the callers on Marawa's Radio show, Mpungela allegedly received a bribe from XI Experience.

The caller claimed to have proof that Mpungela was paid to make controversial decisions in favour of the visiting team.

However, it is still unclear if these reports are true, but Safa's eThekwini region is expected to investigate the matter further before releasing an official statement.

Also last weekend, a scuffle broke in Cape Town between Cape Town City and Maritzburg United where both sets of players and club officials exchanged punches in the tunnel

This was after Rushine De Reuck of Maritburg and one of City's technical team members were dismissed deep into stoppage time.

Both teams could be in hot water with the PSL, who confirmed to Goal on Tuesday that the case was already with the league's prosecutor.
