EXTRA TIME: Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel links up with artiste Burna Boy

The former Chelsea midfielder is having a fun-filled vacation in Nigeria following the end of the 2018 Chinese Super League season

Nigeria captain John Obi Mikel caught up with Afrobeat star Burna Boy during a music concert in Abuja.

The 31-year-old is back at home after a difficult season in China with Tianjin Teda that saw them escape relegation based on head-to-head advantage over Changchun Yatai.

Mikel scored two goals in 18 games for the Tianjin outfit during his second campaign in the Chinese Super League.

In a relaxed mood, the Super Eagles skipper who announced the launch of his talent hunt programme for African youngsters met with Burna Boy and shared some pleasantries with him before the 'Ye' crooner took to the stage to perform at the Venue Centre.

Earlier, Mikel shared a video of his family featuring his twins and wife enjoying the sounds in the capital city of Nigeria which was followed by a reunion dinner with the extended family.
