EXTRA TIME: Amanda Dlamini - Orlando Pirates' Xola Mlambo should model himself on Yaya Toure and Andre Pirlo

Orlando Pirates midfielder Xola Mlambo has been so impressive that there's a belief he should be in Bafana Bafana's midfield.

However he's been unable to get the nod from Stuart Baxter due to the stiff competition with the likes of Dean Furman, Andile Jali, Kamohelo Mokotjo, Bongani Zungu, Tiyani Mabunda, Lebogang Phiri, Hlompho Kekana and Teboho Mokoena.

Mlambo won the Man of the Match award when Pirates beat SuperSport United 3-1 on the weekend, and since then there's been more calls for Baxter to give him a chance.

One also has to give credit to his midfield partner Thembinkosi Lorch, and Mlambo paid tribute to him.

"I played with Lorch at Cape Town All Stars. So, I can read his movements and he can read my movements. It is something that we generally know and work on at training,' Mlambo told SuperSport TV.

Though, many pundits believe Mlambo deserves all the credit he is receiving. Banyana Banyana legend Amanda Dlamini has pointed out that he could model his game on Yaya Toure, Andrea Pirlo and Surprise Moriri.
