Enyimba will defeat Rayon Sports in Aba, boasts Sunday Adetunji

Enyimba’s Sunday Adetunji believes his Nigeria Professional Football League side have all it takes to defeat Rayon Sports in the second leg of their Federation Cup quarterfinal tie in Aba.

On Sunday, Usman Abdullahi’s men were hoping for a first-leg advantage but they failed to secure an away goal in Kigali after managing to gain a 0-0 draw against the Rwandan giants.

Ahead of the second leg in Aba, the striker, who inspired the People Elephants to the last eight, is hoping they can subdue the Gikundiro in the front of their fans to reach the semi-final.

“We had a good game in Kigali and did very well to deserve a win but the draw was not a bad result for us,” Adetunji told Goal.

“No doubt, Rayon Sports gave us a great fight. We’ve played and have seen them now and I believe that we know their strategies, weak points and the strength of their team.

“I am happy that we came back unscratched and we must improve on our performance and make sure we get the job done in Aba. We will be out to prove our worth.

"The fighting spirit is quite high in camp and I believe we can make it the semi-final. For now, our focus is on qualifying to the next round of the Federation Cup.”
