Following their home loss to Raja, the forward is confident his side will bounce back against the Sai Masu Gida Boys in Gombe

Enyimba forward Wasiu Alalade says his side are eager to return to winning ways when they meet Kano Pillars in Sunday’s quarter-final clash at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe.

The People’s Elephant suffered their first home defeat after Abdelilah Hadifi’s second half strike saw them bowed to the Moroccans in the semi-final, first leg of the Caf Confederation Cup.

And the former ABS man is confident they will amend their mistakes in the high-profile Federation Cup encounter with the Sai Masu Gida.

“None of us is happy about our loss to Raja Casablanca in Aba,” Alalade told Goal.

“It is a setback no doubt, but all hope isn’t lost for us yet. I believe we still have a lot to play for and It’s not over until it’s over. We will keep fighting till the end.

“We are determined to win the match against Kano Pillars because victory is not negotiable. We want to bounce back from the defeat to Raja Casablanca. Many people are thinking that we cannot make it after our loss.

“But, at the moment, we focus is on the game at hand which is against Pillars. We won’t let anything distract us. In football, anything can happen and we have moved on. I am confident that we will not lose to Kano Pillars. We will do our best to get back to winning again.”
