Enugu Rangers quest to clinch a sixth Federation Cup title received a massive boost with the Anambra state government plans to mobilise fans in 20 buses to Asaba for Kano Pillars clash.
The Flying Antelopes defeated Nasarawa United to reach their 11th final and would be hoping to lift the coveted title for the first time since 1983 at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
In a statement, state governor aide Chika Nzelu disclosed the intentions of state government to throw its full weight behind the title of their neighbours against the Sai Masu Gida Boys.
“After our triumph in 2016 at the NPFL after a long wait, we celebrated a lot and with the victory over Nasarawa United in Kano at the semi-final stage,” Nzelu told media.
“I believe the stage is set for another celebration. My boss, His Excellency Governor Willy Obiano is already making plans to ensure that about 20 buses are made available to take fans from Awka and Onitsha and other parts of the state to Asaba to cheer Rangers to victory.
