The Kenyan champions are returning to the domestic action after their 3-2 victory over Tanzania’s Yanga in the Caf Confederation Cup on Sunday.
The influential Wendo has missed a couple of matches for K’Ogalo since he picked an injury three weeks ago. Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has however, revealed to Goal that Wendo is likely set to start against Sharks in Kisumu.
“Wendo is now fit and good to go. I have included him in match day squad to face Sharks. We will only miss Francis Mustapha, who is sorting out passport issues. The rest of the squad is ready for the action.”

Asked if he will rotate the squad, the Briton said, “I will pick my best eleven.”
Kerr has however, admitted that the congested fixture in August will prove the mental strength of his squad. “I have seen tough months in the league but August seems to be the toughest. This is where mental strength will come into the way we play.”
Kerr is however, optimistic that with the support of club management, they will weather the storm and come out unscathed. “We are going to be stretched but I have confidence in the squad. We just need to stay injury free, remain focused and must be very careful.
“I trust my players and it is now upon the technical staff to make sure that we are okay. I know with luck and good recovery; the results will be positive.”
After Sharks, Gor Mahia will face Nakumatt at Machakos on August 4.
