Gor Mahia head coach Dylan Kerr says the players should be mentally prepared for a tougher outing next season.

The Green Army had a relatively tough but successful 2018; a season that the team qualified for the Group stages of Caf Confederation Cup, and successfully defended their league title. With the new season set to start on December 8, the Englishman says tougher outings should be expected.

“It is not going to be a walk in the park for us. My players should know that it is going to be harder than ever, and so we have to be stronger, more disciplined, focused and professional on how we live on and off the field.

“For the fans, let us be together and enjoy football without too much expectations, because they might frustrate at the end of the day,” Kerr told Goal in an interview.

According to the fixtures for the new season, Gor Mahia will start their title defence against Bandari at Mbarak Stadium.
