Diego Simeone's antics on the sidelines is lovely, but Pep Guardiola remains the best, says Nigeria attacking midfielder Destiny Ashadi.

After receiving a 'surprise' call-up to join up with 19 other Super Eagles B players, the Katsina United star is in line to play against Atletico Madrid in Tuesday's hybrid friendly at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

And ahead of meeting the Europa League champions, Ashadi reveals his love for Simeone's energetic, oft-aggresive approach on the sidelines, but opted for Manchester City's mastermind to another English Premier League title, Guardiola as his best tactician.

"I love [Simeone] based on how he behaves on the field of play but he's not my best coach," Ashadi told Goal.

"I love Pep Guardiola."

Despite Antoine Griezmann's goalscoring exploits [29 goals with 13 assists across all competitions in 2017-18] for the Wanda Metropolitano outfit, Ashadi's choice for his best Atletico Madrid player remains midfielder Koke.

"I like watching Koke," he said.

"Griezmann is a good player, he plays from the attack and because I play from the midfield, so I love watching midfielders."

Ashadi has impressed in the Nigerian top-flight, scoring six times with a further five assists to help Katsina United to fifth in the log, after 22 round of matches.
