Daniel Itodo says Plateau United are raring to go ahead of the Nigerian topflight resumption after Wednesday's 1-0 win against Gombe United at the New Jos Stadium.
The Peace Boys are preparing to remain in top shape in their quest to defend the title and King Osanga’s 31st minute strike gave the Peace Boys a friendly win over the National League side.
And the reigning champions defender is full of praise for the resilience and determination of Kennedy Boboye’s side and is upbeat they will be ready to impress on the league return.
“It was an interesting but tough match we had against Gombe United," Danladi told Goal.
"It was a mere friendly but both teams really played well. We are the reigning league champions and that was enough reason they came out strongly against us.
“I must appreciate my teammates for the solid performance from the start to the end. They had their chances, but we defended well and use the experience and quality to beat them.
“I am very happy about the win and it will really motivate us to remain on the top of our game before the league resumes. We are determined to retain the league title this season and must continue to remain focused and maintain our good form.”
