Coach Nuhu resigns from Ghanaian club Bolga All Stars

Bolga All Stars coach Mallam Baba Nuhu has parted ways with the club after only three months in charge.

The former player took over from Peter Akolgu in May but failed to record a win in eight matches, as his side conceded 19 goals, scoring one and currently at the bottom of the table with 12 points. They are 17 points below safety with six matches left to end the season.

"The decision to resign is a personal one and I know the club's decision makers will understand," Nuhu told Goal.

"I have done everything possible to change the fortunes of the club since I took over but unfortunately we weren't able to pick the points we wanted. I hope everything will be well with me in the future and also the club with six more matches to end the campaign," he added.

Goal understands that Nuhu was left frustrated during his stay since players were reluctant to attend training due to unpaid salaries and signing on fees.

He mostly held training sessions with only ten players including one goalkeeper while the others join few hours to kick off on matchdays.

Bolga will travel to Accra to face Great Olympics when the league resumes from the break on August 27.
