Clinton Larsen's coaching record against Kaizer Chiefs

Clinton Larsen took charge of Chippa United in January 2019, and since then, the Port Elizabeth-based side has improved tremendously across all competitions.

He will lead his charges out the tunnel when they take on Kaizer Chiefs in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup on Saturday night.

While Chippa United would be proud to have reached the semi-finals, they still want to go a step further and possibly win the trophy.

However, Larsen's record against Amakhosi is something that could be of disadvantage to the Chilli Boys, who will certainly go into the encounter at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium as the underdogs.

Chiefs have not been too convincing this season, but they have had a solid Nedbank Cup campaign.

Ernst Middendorp's men are yet to concede a goal in this year's competition, meaning it would take something special for Chippa United to breach their defence.

Larsen record v Amakhosi PS

Now, back to Larsen's record, who is in his 10th season as a professional coach.

He has been in charge of no less than seven teams in the PSL, and during that period, he faced Amakhosi 17 times across all competitions.

Saturday's encounter will be his 18th against the Glamour Boys, and Larsen would like to improve his personal record against the side from Naturena.

In 17 previous matches, Larsen got the better of Chiefs just twice - a record which would give the Soweto giants a glimmer of hope going into the clash.

Larsen lost seven times to Chiefs, while the other eight matches ended in draws.

However, Chiefs, should not take Chippa for granted as their record against them hasn't been too impressive either in recent years.
