Celtic are hoping to end another successful Scottish Premiership season on a high note against Hearts on Sunday afternoon.

The Hoops have already been crowned as champions for an eighth successive season but the celebrations were somewhat soured by a 2-0 defeat against deadly rivals Rangers at Ibrox last weekend.

Latest odds

Neil Lennon's charges will be keen to make an immediate return to winning ways. The Hoops have won 15 of their last 16 fixtures against Hearts at Celtic Park and it is little surprise, then, that Lennon's men are 3/10 (1.30) favourites to prevail this weekend.

Craig Levein's charges have won just one of their last seven matches in all competitions and the task facing the team from Tynecastle is certainly a daunting one.

William Hill offer a chunky 17/2 (9.50) that the visitors record a rare victory in Glasgow's east end. The same firm go 9/2 (5.50) that these two teams settle for a share of the spoils on Sunday.

Team news

These teams will meet again next weekend in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park. Neither Lennon nor Levein are likely to give too many clues to their opposite number here so both sides could be largely made up of fringe players ahead of that cup clash.

Levein's side have often lacked cutting edge in the final third throughout the campaign and have scored significantly fewer goals than any other side in the top half of the Premiership table.

However, the men in maroon have found the net in five of their last six matches in all competitions. William Hill offer 17/20 (1.85) that there are goals at both ends on Sunday afternoon.

Each of Hearts' last six goals have been scored after the break and the same firm go 13/8 (2.63) that the visitors find the target in the second half.

Hoops to cruise?

Celtic have scored 18 goals and conceded just two in their last five home fixtures against Hearts. Lennon's men are available at 2/1 (3.0) with William Hill to beat the -2 handicap mark this weekend.

The odds compilers offer 5/4 (2.25) that there are at least four goals scored in Glasgow. The 9/5 (2.80) quote from the same firm for Celtic to win both halves could well prove popular too as Lennon will surely demand a reaction from his side.

With next weekend's Scottish Cup final looming large, both sides could be forgiven for taking their eyes off Sunday's showdown. Neither side is expected to be at anywhere near full-strength and this could be a lacklustre clash.

Furthermore, the Hoops have scored just three goals in their last four matches on home soil. Hearts, meanwhile, have managed more than a solitary strike in just one of their last 11 away matches.

As such, value could lie in backing fewer than three goals here. William Hill offer 6/4 (2.50) that there are no more than two goals scored at Celtic Park on Sunday afternoon.
