Ashley Lawrence Canada

This is a clash of two of women's international football's big hitters, with the United States - ranked first in the world by FIFA - taking on fifth-place Canada.

But these two teams are taking a very different route towards the 2019 World Cup and 2020 Olympic Games.

The U.S. continue to rely upon a tried-and-tested group of players, with Becky Sauerbrunn, Alex Morgan and Christen Press - all aged 28 or over - central.

Canada, on the other hand, have seen veterans Josee Belanger, Marie-Eve Nault, Melissa Tancredi and Rhian Wilkinson retire this year, and have six teenagers in their squad for these two fixtures.

The way they have turned to the next generation is highlighted by the fact that 19-year-old wonderkid Jessie Fleming, who is still in college, already has 45 caps.

Deanne Rose, 18, has 28 and 16-year-old Jordyn Huitema, who has two goals in her first four internationals, might be the Canadians' most promising young forward since captain Christine Sinclair came through the ranks.

Add in 22-year-old PSG and Lyon stars Ashley Lawrence and Kadeisha Buchanan and while Canada may be adrift of USA for now, it is not hard to see how they hope to turn the tables by the time the next major tournaments come around.
