Angolan champions Primiero Agosto travel to Congolese side AS Otoho without injured striker Ary Papel for Wednesday's Caf Champions League second leg tie.
Papel, on loan from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon, did not travel to Congo Brazzaville after pulling a thigh muscle.
Despite the injury to one of his key players, Agosto assistant coach Ivo Traca is confident that the 4-2 lead from the first leg can carry them through to the next round.
“The morale of the team is good. We are going to this second-leg match confident about moving to the next stage," Traca was quoted as saying by the Angola Press Agency.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwean champions FC Platinum are out to avert a possible upset by CNaPS from Madagascar when the two sides meet at Mandava Stadium on Wednesday.
With the first leg ending 1-1 in Madagascar, FC Platinum enjoy an away goal but they still face the possibility of exiting the tournament.
CNaPS need a win to confirm their place in the next round but it might not be an easy outing for the Indian Ocean islanders against an FC Platinum side keen to justify their hefty pockets on the continent.
FC Platinum are amongst Africa's most well-funded teams but they have failed to reach the Caf Champions league group stages on two previous occasions.
Elsewhere, Malian giants Stade Malien enjoy a huge advantage of having won 1-0 away at Union Sportive last week, and hosting the Central African Republic side on the back of such a positive result might not see them fret.
A draw will see Stade Malien sail to the next round.
In Abijan, Sporting Gagnoa host JS Saoura of Algeria hoping to recover from the 2-0 suffered away in the first leg.
But with North African opponents having proved to be tricky opponents in Africa, Gagnoa could be facing a torrid day on Wednesday.
In Kitwe, Nkana FC host UD Songo. Nkana won 2-1 away in Mozambique last week and will be boasting two away goals at home on Wednesday.
On paper, it appears to be a done and dusted affair with Nkana highly-tipped to progress to the next round.
Meanwhile, veteran goalkeeper Essam El Hadary is expected back in Ismaily squad after missing the first leg away at Le Messager Ngozi away, due to family commitments.
After some noise concerning his absence, El Hadary has clarified his absence as he readies himsellf for the return leg.
"I adore football until my last day," El-Hadary was quoted as saying by Al Ahram.
"I didn't run away from the game; I was forced to stay with my sick mother so I didn't appear on time with the Ismaily squad," he concluded.
Ismaily won 1-0 away and are odds on favourites to win the home leg.
