Bidvest Wits confirm Hunt will still be in charge next season

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt whose contract runs out at the end of the season has thrown around a lot of speculation regarding his future and whether or not he will stay beyond June this year.

Club CEO Jose Ferreira has confirmed that their coach will be with them next season as they have nothing to worry about as the club's management.

“Coach Gavin will be with us for another season, there is really nothing to worry about despite the media tension because the coach is staying with us,” Ferreira told Goal.

Hunt joined the club from SuperSport United at the start of the 2013/14 season on a three-year deal and he was given a one-year extension at the start of the season.

He has won the Students a league and cup double this season, making him the first coach to deliver the PSL title to the Braamfontein-based club.

Meanwhile, Ferreira also shed some light on the loan deals of Mogakolodi Ngele and Cuthbert Malajila, who are set to return to their parent club Mamelodi Sundowns at the end of the season.

“There’s nothing to discuss on that front because the players won’t be staying with us. We will only finalise our squad for next season towards the beginning of the next season. So, we have no business to open up talks with Ngele and Malajila,” Ferreira concluded.
