Orlando Pirates midfielder Ben Motshwari has revealed that it has been his dream to play for the Buccaneers.
Motshwari joined the Soweto giants from Bidvest Wits in the current transfer window after falling down the pecking order at Braamfontein.
The Randfontein-born midfielder was surprisingly left out of the starting XI by coach Gavin Hunt after helping the club win their first Premier Soccer League (PSL) trophy in 96 years two seasons ago.
Motshwari also said he is looking forward to playing a vital role for Pirates as they look to lift trophies in the new 2018/19 PSL season.
Although, he could not understand why he was left out at the Students, he said he was not disappointed.

“I always wanted to play for Pirates and that move could have happened two seasons ago,” Motshwari said during a press conference on Wednesday.
“I always gave my best at training and whenever I was given a chance,” Motshwari was quoted as saying by Phakaaathi.
“For any player who would help the team win the league would expect to be in coach's plans the following season, but all of a sudden you don't play which was surprising,” continued the midfielder.
“It wasn't really hurting, but it encouraged me to work even harder. There was competition at the club and it is the same thing here at Pirates,” he concluded.
The midfielder managed to only make 11 starts in all competitions for the reigning Telkom Knockout Cup winners in the past term.
Meanwhile, he will now hope to find a spot under coach Milutin Sredojevic and contribute towards bringing glory to Mayfair as he will compete against the likes of Xola Mlambo, Musa Nyatama and Mpho Makola among others.
In their league opening match, they meet 2017/18 National First Division (NFD) champions Highlands Park on Saturday night at Orlando Stadium.
