Shabba scored his 50th goal for the club in Saturday’s 3-0 Nedbank Cup last 32 victory over Stellenbosch United in Cape Town

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Shaun Bartlett has hailed the impact Siphiwe Tshabalala has had at the Soweto giants over the last 10 years.

Shabba, who has made over 300 appearances for Amakhosi, netted his 50th goal for the club last weekend, and Bartlett has been impressed that the left-footed player has maintained level of professionalism throughout the years.

“He has done really well for the club over the past decade and he's showing his experience. He has proven himself to the Chiefs faithful and that’s what it is about - the consistency,” Bartlett told Goal.

Bartlett and Shabba played together for a short period of time, before the former left for Bloemfontein Celtic in 2008, but the former Charlton Athletic striker saw the potential in him as soon as he arrived from Free State Stars in 2007.

“He had had a couple of injuries early on in his career at Chiefs, but since then he has been a constant figure and definitely one of their key players as far as the team is concerned,” Bartlett said.

Thw 32-year-old is among the club's top goalscorers with five goals in all competitions so far this season.
