Letlotlo left Johannesburg for Polokwane to start training with Baroka this week after the club requested to have a look at him as Goal reported on Tuesday.
He will be hoping to gain as much experience as possible in the upcoming season, especially after missing the previous campaign through injury.
The 22-year-old was only promoted to the Amakhosi first team two seasons ago by the then coach Steve Komphela.
However, after signing two attacking players in Khama Billiat and Andriamirado Andrianarimanana from Mamelodi Sundowns and Fosa Juniors respectively, Chiefs felt it was best to send him out on loan.
Baroka announced Letlotlo on their social media platforms on Wednesday morning.

With Letlotlo's deal to Baroka now done and dusted, it remains to be seen if Talent Chawapiwa will move in the opposite direction on a permanent basis.
Goal understands that the ball is firmly in Chiefs' court to make the Chawapiwa deal happen.
The Zimbabwean attacking midfielder has been a target for the Soweto giants for quite some time, and Bobby Motaung is believed to be working around the clock to secure his services.
Should Chawapiwa end up at Chiefs, he would become the second player to join Chiefs from Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele this winter.
Virgil Vries, who was released by Baroka last month, has already signed on the dotted line with Amakhosi.
