The 2018-19 season of the Indian Super League (ISL) will start on September 29th (Saturday), the league has announced.
The first match will see a repeat of last year's inaugural game with two-time champions ATK taking on Kerala Blasters. However, the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata will play hosts to the game unlike Kochi in 2017.
The upcoming season will have three breaks, two for FIFA international windows (October 8 - 16, 2018 and November 12 – 20, 2018), and one, starting from December 17, 2018, for the Indian national team’s preparatory camp ahead of the AFC Asian Cup in UAE.
The schedule for 2019 will be announced at a later date.
There are no more double headers in the ISL this time around while all games are set to kick-off at 7:30pm IST.
