Arsenal boss Unai Emery praises Aubameyang’s work rate vs. Bournemouth

The Gabon international scored the match-winning goal at the Vitality Stadium and helped the Gunners defensively

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has showered encomium on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his work rate in their 2-1 victory over Bournemouth.

The 29-year-old attacker scored the match-winning goal at the Vitality Stadium in Sunday’s Premier League game to help the Gunners returne to winning ways after three consecutive draws.

Also, the former Borussia Dortmund striker was on hand to help the Emirates Stadium outfit defensively.

“The most important thing for us is not only that he scored but how he was working in the 90 minutes,” Emery said after the game.

“I think he worked to help us in all the things tactically, attacking and defensively.”

Aubameyang has now scored eight league goals this season to jointly lead the Premier League goalscorers chart.

The forward will hope to replicate the form when Arsenal take on Vorskla in Thursday’s Europa League game.
