Anthony Nwakaeme completes Trabzonspor move

Trabzonspor have completed the signing of Anthony Nwakaeme on a two-year deal from Israeli champions Hapoel Beer Sheva.

The Nigeria international will join compatriot Ogenyi Onazi and Senegal's Zargo Toure at the Medical Park Arena.

During his stint in the Israeli Premier League, the Super Eagles forward guided Hapoel Beer Sheva to consecutive league triumphs in 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

The former Hapoel Raanana star also won two Super Cup titles and a Toto Cup winners’ medal in Isreal.

Nwakaeme scored 63 goals in 205 matches across all competitions during his five-year stay in the Middle Eastern country.

“Trabzonspor thank you very much for giving me the chance to play here. I feel very happy to be here, to be part of this team,” Nwakaeme told club website.

''I see that the team has a great ambition to be successful. This situation is very motivating for me as a player.

“The atmosphere I saw in the first game was great, the fans were great, everything was very good. I saw them as very good people, really everything was perfect. '

The forward made his debut for Nigeria in their 1-1 draw against Algeria in November 2017.

And he could be in line for his debut in the Turkish Super Lig when the Black Sea Storm lock horns against Ankaragucu on Saturday.
