Goal can confirm that Ajax Cape Town have completed the signings of Zimbabwean international midfielder Gerald Takwara and Highlands Park attacker Muzi Thabotha.

Takwara, a defensive midfielder, excelled for the Warriors at the 2017 Cosafa Cup in Rustenburg early this year while Thabotha left a huge impression with his heroics in the Multichoice Diski Challenge last season.

The 22-year-old amassed double figures and his displays earned him a place in the Lions of the North’s first team towards the latter stages of their dismal Premier Soccer League campaign.

He has struggled earn regular game time in the National First Division so far with only four appearances to his name.

Takwara, 23, has been a stagnant force for the Platinum Boys and recently helped them complete a Zimbabwean Premier League and Castle Lager Challenge Cup double.

The Mother City side are also reported to have renewed their pursuit of Kenyan attacker Jesse Were whilst they've also parted ways with Ejike Uzoenyi.
