Ingwe coach explains what he thinks is derailing Kenyan football

AFC Leopards coach Stewart Hall says politics should be taken away from football if the game is meant to develop in the country.

The tactician joined the 12- times league champions this season from Azam, and he is aiming at helping Ingwe to a respectable position after a trend of poor results. Hall has admitted there is enough talent in the country, but other individuals have hidden agendas.

"Politics and football are two different things that can never go hand in hand. When politics is introduced in football, it harms more than it can benefit. There is so much politics in the Kenyan game, and that is why it is taking time to hit high levels, it kills the talent we have.

"Once we get that out of the game, and develop the structures, then we will even see the fans turning out in large numbers."

AFC Leopards will be playing Nakumatt FC over the weekend in their first league match this season.
