AFC Champions League 2018: Goal's Player of the Week - Al Ain's Marcus Berg

The 31-year-old grabbed two goals in Al Ain's win over Al Rayyan...

UAE's Al Ain pulled off a stunning 4-1 win over Qatar's Al Rayyan this week to nail a spot in the knockout stages of the AFC Champions League.

They had not looked likely to qualify until this game where they had to beat Al Rayyan. They would do so in style, thanks to Marcus Berg who would bag two goals in the game.

After Hussein El Shahat and Omar Abdulrahman had sent Al Ain 2-0 up, Berg came up with a brace then to put the game well beyond the reach of the Qataris.

The 31-year-old's brace came from two shots on target, three in total, but it was his all-round game that impressed. As well as his clinical finishing, Berg also tallied an 84 percent passing accuracy and won six duels

Ultimately, he powered Al Ain to an important win and Berg is rightly named as Goal's Asian Player of the Week!

Congrats Marcus!
