Advantage Western Stima as Ushuru slip in race for top flight promotion

Western Stima maintained top position in the National Super League, after Ushuru failed to get maximum points against Coast Stima on Monday.

The tax men came with intentions of avenging the 3-0 loss suffered in the first leg and managed to hit the back of the net in the tenth minute, when an Ekaliani Ndolo cross hit the cross bar before bouncing back, only for it to meet the unfortunate Said Dhado, who helped it in.

The Coastal-based side came back stronger in the second half, limiting moves from the hosts and after a few attempts, they managed to get level in the 70th minute when Erick Ngoja connected a loose ball in the danger zone.

The result means Western Stima are top of the table with 52 points, same as the tax men who have an inferior goal difference. Earlier at the same venue, Bidco United halted Administration Police's four match unbeaten run after claiming a 2-0 win.

Sean Opwora, who had earlier missed a penalty, put the Thika based side in front in the 37th minute, before John Walubuka hit the second ten minutes after the break to help his team hit the 42-point mark.
