The 23-year-old endured unsuccessful loan-spells at Ajax Cape Town and Platinum Stars and has returned to Bidvest Wits.
Ngalande arrived back in South Africa four years ago, having spent time at Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.
The Malawi international could only manage two Absa Premiership appearances whilst on-loan at Diwkena during the 2015-16 campaign and subsequently returned to the Clever Boys ahead of the new season.
Goal has been informed that Ngalande is still contracted to Bidvest Wits, but it is unlikely that he will remain at the Braamfontein-based club.
The forward's representatives are exploring several options and he should know where his future lies in the coming days.
"We are assessing a few options for him, he is still contracted to Wits. His future will be decided in the next few days," Siyavuma Sports Group operations director Keegan Wasserfall told Goal.
"We never limit ourselves to just South Africa, we always look at the broader picture, [but] it depends on what opportunities are available.
"There's nothing concrete [so far]. He has just not had a fair shot at it, but he will come out on top I am sure."
