Mamelodi Sundowns sign Castro and Bangaly

The Brazilians may have finally found Alje Schut's replacement following the acquisition of 24-year-old former Asec Mimosas star defender Bangaly

Mamelodi Sundowns have officially signed striker Leonardo Castro and Ivorian defender Soumahoro Bangaly.

The news were confirmed by head coach Pitso Moismane following his side's 4-0 win over Thanda Royal Zulu in the uThukela Mayoral Cup semi-final clash on Saturday morning.

"He has signed and has arrived back this morning in the country and he is our player now," Mosimane said when asked about Castro's future at the club.

Quizzed about Bangaly, Mosimane said: "He's an Ivorian and we have signed him also."

The Brazilians have already registered three foreign players in Cuthbert Malajila, Mogakolodi Ngele and Fiston Abdul-Razak this season, while Khama Billiat has been registered as a local by the 2013/14 Absa Premiership champions.

Goal reported on August 3 that Sundowns were to offer Colombian striker Castro a three-year contract.
