Rusike leaves Portuguese side CD Nacional for Halmstad BK

Rusike, who left Amakhosi at the end of last season, will be plying his trade in Sweden with Halmstad after completing his 18-month move from CD Nacional

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Matthew Rusike has parted ways with Portuguese side CD Nacional to join Swedish Allsvenskan club Halmstad BK, the player's agent Miguel Paiva confirmed on Friday.

The 25-year-old forward turned down a new contract from Amakhosi at the end of last season for a move to Portugal, but he has changed his mind about playing in the Primeira Liga.

According to Paiva, Rusike and CD Nacioal reached a mutual agreement for the termination of his two-year contract.

Rusike joins Halmstad on an 18-month contract, and he's set to start training with the rest of his new teammates immediately.
